Some you do at home, online. Some get you out and about, meeting people going through the same experience as you. Some are run by local parents.

Triple P

Triple P Online courses are a tried and tested way of being a better parent. You can do them at home on your phone, tablet, laptop or PC. Whenever you want. They are free to parents and carers with children under 2 who live in Barking and Dagenham. 

SFSC Parenting Programme

This popular Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) parenting course is for anyone with young children. It helps parents improve family relationships, manage stress and make discipline work.

EPEC Being a Parent

Join Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities (EPEC) on a parenting course led by local parents. Learn practical skills for everyday life that will help you bring up happy children.

Mellow Bumps

The best thing to do before your baby arrives is take care of yourself. Mellow Bumps is a chance to meet other parents-to-be and support each other at this important time.

Dads Mind

Dads Mind is a new programme for local fathers – coming soon to Barking and Dagenham.  Until then, you can use the online Parent Support Group and read this blog, “Dads need support, too“. 

Ready for Adulthood

A 6-8 week face-to-face programme for 17-25 year olds struggling with their mental health.
